SPG Solar Moves to New Corporate Campus in Marin County
New Headquarters Four Times Larger Than Previous Location

September 24, 2007 (Novato, CA)
– SPG Solar Inc., the fastest-growing solar provider in the North Bay, is purchasing a 30,000-square-foot building in Novato, CA for its new headquarters. President, CEO and founder Dan Thompson said the 120-employee company will be based in the new location at 20 Leveroni Court.

“We were in 7,000 square feet in San Rafael, CA and looked for something about double that size to lease in the area. When we found we could buy a much larger space in Novato, a short distance away from our former headquarters, for not very much more, we opted to purchase,” said Thompson.

Reflecting the growth of the solar industry, 6-year-old SPG has expanded its headquarters five times since its founding in 2001. From its first official location in 1,000 square feet it grew into 3,500, 4,000 and then 7,000 square feet, picking up 8,000 square feet in warehouse and truck housing along the way.

“Now we're swamped. We've been looking for a new headquarters for a year and a half,” said Thompson. “We are excited to relocate to this new corporate campus that will accommodate our growth in the years to follow.”

In addition to its new headquarters, SPG has its warehouse and trucking operation in San Rafael and regional offices in Oceanside, Oroville and Windsor.

SPG has plans to move into new and emerging markets. “All of the states surrounding California have been watching the incentives programs, and now they're beginning to develop long-term programs of their own, with solid funding behind them. We see potential markets in Oregon, Nevada and Arizona,” said Thompson.
